Lisbon and its viewpoints

As you know, every bigger city has points from which you can enjoy beautiful views. In case of Lisbon is the same because of many “Miradouros”. Below you can find some propositions of some points from where you will see beautiful view spread of the city.

  1. Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara

The viewpoint located in the Bairro Alto district. People who don’t like to walk can find this point very easy because it is next to Elevador da Gloria. From here we will have beautiful view of the entire center of Lisbon and view of St. George Castle.

  1. Miradouro de Santa Caterina

The viewpoint from where we will have mainly the view of the Tejo river and the port. Occupied especially by young people during the weekend. Perfect place to take a break while sightseeing.

  1. Miradouro de Santa Luzia

One of the most popular viewpoints among tourists. It is located on one of the oldest districts of Lisbon-Alfama and it is the view that spreads over it and Tejo river.

  1. Miradouro das Portas do Sol

Usually the viewpoint is full of tourists. The point is characteristic because of view which spreads over the entire Alfama, winding streets, roofs of buildings and monuments such as the dome of National Pantheon. There we will find also a place where we can drink a coffee or eat something sweet and enjoy a beautiful view.

  1. Miradouro da Graca

The viewpoint located between two districts- Alfama and Graca. From here we will have beautiful view of the Bridge 25 April, castle of St. George, city and river Tejo.

  1. Miradouro Nossa Senhora do Monte

One of the highest viewpint situated in Lisbon from which the view spreads over the whole city. To get here you have to get a bit tired. This location makes that you have to climb along the steep streets of Lisbon. But the view will reward all the effort.

  1. Cristo Rei

If you go to Almada which is on the other side of the river it is worth going to area where is located Cristo Rei. From the terrace in front of the monument there is a beautiful view of the bridge of 25 April and the whole Lisbon.
